– is looking for a
Senior Scientist (m/f)
at the next possible point in time for the management of the scientific working group
»High-efficiency Silicon Solar Cells« as well as the realisation of research, service, organisational and acquisition tasks in the field of highly efficient silicon solar cells. The research group
»High-efficiency Silicon Solar Cells« is one of the most renowned international groups in the field of photovoltaic technology and holds,
amongst other things, the world record for multicrystalline silicon solar cells.
The responsibilities encompass the leadership, coordination, motivation and profiling of the scientific working group, including scientific support of doctoral and diploma candidates and the strategic alignment of the group to industry-relevant markets.
The responsibilities comprise the development of new types of solar cell structures, the management of the clean room laboratory, the utilisation of semiconductor technology techniques such as diffusion, wet chemistry, laser, plasma
deposition, etc. and the characterisation of the prepared prototypes as well as furthermore the acquisition, treatment of research & applications projects and the presentation of projects and project results.
The position necessitates a university degree in physics/engineering sciences; a doctoral degree would be advantageous.
The candidate should have special knowledge of semiconductor physics and well-founded experiences in the field of semiconductor technology. Further prerequisites are professional experiences in the field of project acquisition and handling. Experiences in the field of management, financial responsibility, personnel management as well as the support of doctoral and diploma candidates are desirable. We require willingness for business travel, team ability as well as very good written and spoken command of German and English and solid computer literacy.
