EU web site for renewables ready

AGORES, the Greek word for »meeting place,« is now also the meeting place for web surfers seeking information on renewables.

As an official web site of the European Union, AGORES will be a one-stop location for finding the latest on renewable energy sources, first in Europe and eventually around the world. According to Bruce Douglas of LIOR International, which has a two-year contract with the EU to manage the site, AGORES will simplify the search for renewables, including PV.

»Our aim is to pull together all the available information and put it onto one web site,« says Douglas. »We intend it to be the most comprehensive site in Europe.« In addition to containing the latest on renewables legislation, projects, news, publications, and events, AGORES will also be a gateway via extensive links to other sources of information.
