28,000 square meter PV system in Holland?

The Dutch energy supplier Nuon intends to install a PV system covering a 28,000 square meter roof of the exhibition center of the flower trade fair »Floriane« in Haarlem, the Netherlands.

Nuon’s manager for the project, Jadranka Cace, wouldn’t go into details. »Officially we haven’t signed any agreements,« says Cace, but when asked for her »personal feelings« about it, she answered that »the positive probability is 98 percent.« According to well-informed anonymous sources, Nuon already has called for company offers. The tense question remains whether the Netherlands’ quasi PV monopolist Shell Solar will get the job or if another player can enter the ranks. According to Cace, the final decisions should be made in the first week of June.
