New module factory in Sweden
Peter Johnson, the founder of two Swedish module manufacturers has
started a new PV company
Peter Johnson, who
left Swedish module manufacturer GPV last year to start up another
module company, Sun Peak in Porjus, Sweden (see PI 7/2001, p. 12), has
now moved on to yet another venture: PV Enterprise Sweden AB of
Olofstrom. While he left GPV in dispute and describes his former
partners at Sun Peak as »difficult to work
with,« this won't be a problem for Johnson
at his new firm: He is the CEO and sole shareholder. Currently
operating on one shift at a 1.5 MW capacity, PV Enterprise plans to
make about 800 kW of modules this year, with sizes ranging from 50 W
to 110 W, based on Sunways' polycrystalline 10 x 10 cm² cells.
