MSK expands production capacity to 180 MW
The world's biggest module company, MSK Corporation from Japan, is constructing a new module factory that will increase its production capacity to 180 MW. Only in the fall 2003, capacity was boasted from 60 to 100 MW at MSK's manufacturing site in Nagano (see PI 10/2003, p. 33).

The new 80 MW facility, which is slated for production start in September, is located in Ohmuta in Western Japan. The production lines will be operational
»24 hours a day, seven days a week«, reports Jerry Stokes from MSK Europe, based in the UK. MSK, which offers OEM lamination and its own line of module products, processes both silicon solar cells as well as thin-film modules. Starting with 50 employees at the Ohmuta plant, staff will be increased to 100 people in the long
run.
