Lange takes
over at Shell Solar GmbH; predecessor appointed lobbyist
Wolfgang Lange has been chosen to head Shell Solar GmbH, the German
subsidiary of Shell's PV business. Starting Aug. 1, he will be
responsible for sales of the company's PV products in Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, and parts of Eastern Europe.

New heads at Xantrex
Following problems at Xantrex Technology Inc. with its UL listing for
certain on-grid inverter models (see article, p. 30), the Canada-based
manufacturer of power electronic and control products has hired Tim
Attridge as vice president and chief marketing officer.
Franz Heim steps down at
Sunways
Franz Heim, chairman of the board of the German solar cell
manufacturer Sunways AG, resigned on 31 March. Heim, who joined
Sunways in 1996, had been chairman since January 2001.
Rothschedl leaves Germany's Solon Harald
Rothschedl, the CFO at Solon AG, resigned on Thursday, April 11.
According to Solon, there were »differences of opinion over the way
management was being handled.«
New leadership at Schott
Applied Power Corporation Just two weeks prior to
an announcement by the German company Schott Glas that it will invest
in RWE Solar GmbH, its American subsidiary Schott Applied Power
Corporation (SAPC) has appointed a new president.
Müllejans joins ErSol as new finance director
Frank Müllejans is the new CFO of Erfurt-based ErSol
Solar Energy AG. Starting in April, he will assist company CEO Claus
Beneking in preparing an IPO sometime this year. Müllejans´
predecessor, Ernst-Dieter Schlapp, left the company in December for
undisclosed reasons.

György Andrási, general director of Vilati Inc., a Hungarian
manufacturer of industrial automation systems, has become board chairman at the
Hungarian cell producer Dunasolar, following Vilati's purchase of the thin-film
manufacturer in December .
