The new Tri-Log data logger from Tritec AG, based in Allschwil, Switzerland, comes with seven inputs for sensors that self-configure upon connection.

Flexible applications: The Tri-Log data logger.

One sensor input is for solar irradiation values, two are for temperature sensors, and four are reserved for impulse measuring (electricity production). The data is saved for each minute, day, month, and year of operation and is accessible with any browser program via an integrated web server.

If you do not have access to an Internet connection, the Tri-Log can be equipped with a GSM antenna to send data to a server, from whence one can download the information as CSV data (a text data standard for calculation programs), at least if one has the »standard subscription« service. If one has a »plus subscription,« the data will be posted to a designated website. The »plus« subscription also includes email or SMS alerts. Without a GMS, the Tri-Log can transfer its data for »subscription« users via Ethernet to a server, or one can read the CSV data directly on the device. Accessories include a display equipped with a smartcard reader and an alarm contact. The product should hit the market after the Staffelstein symposium. The price has not yet been set, but will likely run around €690 ($835) before taxes excluding the subscription cost.
