The Quicksun 120CA cell tester uses a Xenon-flash lamp
and has a class A rating according to IEC standard 60904-9. The
Quicksun comes with a special feature to calculate electrical
characteristics according to the »two diode equation equivalent
circuit of crystalline solar cells.« This procedure, which provides
information about the shape of the I-V curve, is used primarily by
research labs. For more information on the Quicksun 120CA, which costs
$52,000, please refer to the market survey on cell testers and sorters
in the October issue (see article, p. 48).
