for lightweight roofs Sunset Energietechnik, a
module wholesaler based in Adelsdorf, Germany, has introduced an
unconventional mounting system for flat roofs.
System
monitoring with LEO At the Staffelstein conference,
the Freiburg-based company Tritec introduced LEO, a fascinating device
for monitoring PV system performance. LEO measures the irradiation of
the sun; sends the data to a central server platform, where a
comparison of rated and actual values is conducted; and in case of
error, sends the customer an alert via email, fax, or SMS.
Delphi
Study: Photovoltaics in 2020 Wolfgang Berger, the
author of "Photovoltaics in Europe in the Year 2020," claims his Ph.D.
thesis is aimed at the "community of specialists working with
photovoltaics." The book is primarily based on a Delphi Study in which
37 PV experts from Germany, Italy, and Spain forecasts PV developments
in Europe through the year 2020.

designed for engineers and students. After reading it one should be in
